2008 may be the year analysts and pundits look back to as the year Social Networking fundamentally changed American politics, and perhaps politics around the world. In many ways, the historic presidential race between John McCain and Barack Obama has fundamentally rewritten the rules - and social networks played a new and major role in the way candidates reached the American public. Will this change mean the end of the lock of traditional media on presidential politics in America?
